Magic Life is a rapidly growing Supported Living provider in North London and Hertfordshire. We support a wide range of people with various physical/learning disabilities and people with mental health.

We require Enthusiastic, responsible, positive and motivated people to join our work with vulnerable adults in Bishop Stortford.

Support within our Projects covers 24 hours a day with support from a dedicated staff team that delivers day and waking night support.

We require an enthusiastic and dedicated support worker to join the team at this service in providing support for adults with learning disabilities and associated health needs.

What does this Support Worker job involve?

 

Each day is different here at Chapel Row.  

As a Support Worker, you will be required to

  • enourage service users to take part in personal care and daily chores. 
  • Administer medication (once fully trained).
  • Support the service users in their daily activities, and to help them explore new activities that they will really enjoy.
  • Make sure that audits are completed, such as money and medication counts.
  • Raise any concerns that you make have.
  • Carry out general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management.
  • Monitor, report and record health conditions / well being while working with professionals that are involved.
  • Provide emotional support, companionship, act as a key worker and advocate for the residents' wishes and preferences.
  • Ensure that their safety, respect, dignity and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

 

 

Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?

 

No experience is necessary, although it is preferred. 

We are looking for new support workers who are enthusiatic, reliable, empathetic and understanding

The support workers applying for this position must be patient, and willing to teach our service users basic life skills and to help them develop to become more independent. 

You must be computer literate as you will have to log daily reports etc. (In-house training will be given).
