Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth Garden City provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life-limiting illnesses, to enable them to have the best possible quality of life by providing care and support in the setting of their choice, without discrimination.  

We are looking for Senior Care Assistants to join our community team to contribute to the provision of high-quality holistic care for patients at home.  We have full and part-time positions available with hours to suit.

• Assist with patients’ personal care, helping to move, position and mobilise patients
• Observing the general condition of the people we support, in line with the care plan
• Reporting any changes as required
• Assist with patients’ nutritional needs and update the patient record system

• You will need to hold a UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle with Class 1 business insurance.
• You will be an experienced Health Care Assistant and possess (or be working towards) an NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health Care.
• Ideally, you will have experience working in a healthcare setting and be able to demonstrate excellent caring, communication and teamwork skills.
• The role will at times be demanding but also very rewarding.
• Good teamwork and the ability to work a full range of shifts between the hours of 08.00- 21.30 everyday on a rota.
