Blossom are a Supported Living, person-centered care provider, providing 24/7 support.

 

We have 17 people we support across 7 services, and we need to increase our support staff due to people moving, going to Uni, or other reasons.

What does this Care Assistant job involve?

 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist with the day to day management of the individuals home such as cooking, cleaning etc - encouraging service users to help wherever possible.
  • Support and respect the dignity of individuals at all times and to promote a positive image for them whilst out in the community.
  • Ensure the individuals life is lived to the full in their daily activities, holidays etc. Doing all we can do to encourage them to live their best lives.
  • Personal care.
  • Supporting on days out, shopping, appointments etc.
  • Log care and read care plans.

 

Am I the right person for this Care Assistant job?

 

  • Care Certificate (or working towards)
  • NVQ in health and social care (preferrable but not essential)
  • Drivers would be an advantage.
  • For this role you would need to be outgoing, kind and compassionate with a friendly demeanor.
