What does this Support Worker job involve?

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Support individuals in planning their weekly shopping.
  • Accompany and assist with outdoor adventures.
  • Provide everyday personal care.
  • Assist individuals in attending their favorite events.
  • Build confidence in using public transport.
  • Teach money management skills.
  • Support individuals in discovering new interests and achieving new goals.
  • Help maintain important relationships with family and friends.
  • Provide high standards of care and support for learning disabled adults.
  • Listen to and address the wants and needs of individuals.
  • Enable individuals to perform daily tasks such as taking medication and cooking meals.
  • Work with individuals to build their confidence and pursue new adventures.
