What does this Kitchen Assistant job involve?

 

About the role:

 

  • Assist with the preparation of meals.
  • Assist with the cleaning of services and kitchens on a daily basis.
  • Assist in washing crockery, cutlery, cooking and serving utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Distribute to and collect crockery from the residents.
  • Relay and clear tea trolleys where applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Home Manager or Head Chef.

About you:

 

  • Have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team, a caring nature and a positive attitude. 
  • An understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control and COSHH.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential.
