What does this Cook job involve?

 

  • Be able to cook for 20 older residents. 
  • To prepare basic home-cooked foods such as casseroles, pies, roast dinners, etc, they should be able to cook a cake and prepare desserts.
  • Be adaptable to the residents' food choices and be able to cater for medical diets such as diabetic, pureed, etc.
  • You will be expected to cover the other cooks' holidays and probably sickness, which will increase your weekly hours. We will be looking for somebody who can be flexible. 
  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.

 

Am I the right person for this Cook job?

 

  • We are looking for someone who is dedicated to cooking homemade dishes. Good traditional dishes such as shepherd's pie, Casseroles, home-baked puddings, pies, etc.
  • Experience is preferred but not essential.
