We are currently recruiting a Care Manager in Barnet to support our growth and expansion and have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of our service, providing supported accommodation and domiciliary services in the community.

What does this Care Manager job involve?

 

  • To be responsible for the management of the service, meeting the needs and aspirations of service users, commissioners and regulatory authorities and develop a reputation for Manuella Care for excellent delivery of distinctive services.
  • Ensure that the service is complying with CQC standards.
  • To actively promote best practice in care provision including all aspects of care planning activity.
  • To ensure that the services provided conform to current Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations.
  • To line manage Care Co-ordinator and Care Workers, including inductions, monitoring care practices and annual appraisals.
  • To be responsible for staff rotas, arranging cover for absences and maintaining the continuity of the service
  • To promote relationships which enable each service user to participate in the life of the local community.
  • To be responsible for the H&S of staff.
  • To liaise with external agencies, families, and service users; attending meetings as necessary.
  • To lead and respond to any complaints about our services.

 

Am I the right person for this Care Manager job?

 

The following qualities are considered essential for the post of Care Manager: 

  • At least two years' experience in a senior management capacity within the previous five years.
  • A management qualification or care qualification equivalent to NVQ level 4 in care management.
  • A sound understanding of good care principles.
  • Ability to take responsibility.
  • Leadership and negotiating skills.
  • Is self motivated.
  • Holds a Full Driving Licence.
