St Elizabeth's Centre is seeking a Part-Time Community Learning Lead for our Supported Living & Day Opportunities Service in Much Hadham.

 

St Elizabeth’s exists to offer vulnerable people individually designed education, care and support services that maximise their opportunities to “live life to the full”.

 

Based across 60 acres of beautiful countryside, St Elizabeth's is a charity supporting clients with learning disabilities, epilepsy and other complex medical conditions, the severity of which impacts upon their health, social, behaviour, learning and emotional development.

Over the past 120 years, St Elizabeth's has grown and developed to comprise a non-maintained Specialist School for both boarders and day students, a specialist Further Education College domiciliary care for College learners, Supported Living both onsite and in the local community, a comprehensive Day Opportunities programme for adult day clients and 24 hour health provision provided by specialist nurses and therapists.

  • Ensure a planned programme of activities is in place for day placements at St Elizabeth’s.

  • Use existing caring and communication skills to contribute positively to the lives of those supported.

 

 

Am I the right person for this Community Learning Lead job?

 

For this role you will have:

 

  • Relevant experience in delivering multi-sensory, therapeutic activities to service users with disabilities.
  • Previous experience working in care.
  • Willingness to motivate and support other members of staff.
  • Flexibility and a “can do” attitude to get involved where needed.
  • Holding or working towards a Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Valid UK driving licence for transporting individuals to and from activities.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to write reports and risk assessments.
  • Deep passion for supporting people to achieve their aspirations and forge brighter futures.
